Amplify is partnering with Creative Reuse Omaha to host an open call for RECYCLE OMAHA! Submissions open Thursday, January 15th and close Sunday, February 15th at 11:59PM

About

Creative Reuse Omaha is opening a call for artworks made from recycled materials to be exhibited during RECYCLE OMAHA, a regional art festival celebrating Earth Day April 24 - April 26th, 2026. Organized by Creative Reuse Omaha and Sustainably LB, RECYCLE OMAHA celebrates art and fashion made from recycled, reclaimed, and up-cycled materials to promote creative ways to rethink waste.

This mini-festival will take place at Clover 24 Omaha, located at 24th and Martha Streets in Omaha, and includes a curated exhibition, fashion show, and artist-led "make and take events" highlighting the creative potential of recycled materials. Work curated into the exhibition will remain on view after the festival until May 9th, 2026. Artists working in any medium or creative discipline utilizing reclaimed, reused, recycled materials, or sustainably sourced materials are encouraged to apply.

The festival organizers' definition of recycled materials extends to include newly manufactured items, found objects, second-hand items and natural materials that would have been discarded if not for some sort of creative intervention. They encourage artists to submit works made using at least 75% reclaimed, reused, recycled materials, or sustainably sourced materials. Please note: Festival fashion show collections are not being solicited through this open call for artwork. All fashion show collections are curated by Sustainably LB.

Selected artists must be available to deliver their work in person prior to the exhibition opening date and must supply their own installation hardware and equipment needed for the duration of the exhibition. Selected artists will receive free admission to all RECYLE OMAHA events.
